PERMANENT PRIVATE CHEF – LONDON BASED & PORTUGAL TRAVEL – £80,000–£100,000

A returning UHNW family are seeking a Private Chef to be primarily London-based, working a structured part-time rota in London, with regular travel to their residence in Comporta, Portugal

The London working schedule will typically be three days per week (Wednesday to Friday), working on a fixed rota alongside a second Chef, providing consistent part-time support to the household

In addition, the role requires flexibility to travel to Portugal, including extended periods during the summer months (July and August), where the Chef will work a more intensive schedule alongside additional support. Occasional long weekends in Portugal and some further travel may also be required throughout the year

This is a fantastic opportunity for a calm, adaptable and highly capable Chef who enjoys working within a relaxed but high-standard private household environment. The Chef will be responsible for planning and preparing meals for a family of four, as well as catering for informal entertaining and larger gatherings during busy periods, particularly when in Portugal. The family enjoy a variety of cuisines, with a strong preference for Mediterranean dishes alongside global influences such as Indian and Mexican. A focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and well-balanced, flavourful cooking is essential

When in Portugal, the Chef will work alongside a Sous Chef and take responsibility for kitchen organisation, menu planning, sourcing and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. During these periods, a more hands-on and flexible approach is required due to increased occupancy and entertaining

The ideal candidate will be organised, discreet and service-driven, with a calm, adaptable and down-to-earth approach. You will be comfortable managing varying workloads between London and Portugal, and able to integrate seamlessly within an established household team.
