LIVE-OUT SENIOR / HEAD HOUSEKEEPER – KENSINGTON – £55,000–£65,000 GPA (DOE)

Hours: 9.00am – 5.00pm

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 gross per annum (dependent on experience)

A private household based in Kensington is seeking an accomplished Senior / Head Housekeeper to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will be contracted to work 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm.

There will be a requirement to work approximately 10–12 weekends per year when the principals are in residence. Time off in lieu will be provided during the week.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within private households, including overseeing small teams and managing the standards and daily operations of a high-profile or UHNW residence.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Carrying out full housekeeping duties, including detailed and deep cleaning
  • Managing laundry care and ironing to a high standard
  • Supervising the smooth day-to-day running of the residence
  • Preparing for travel, including packing and organisation
  • Maintaining and updating wardrobe and clothing inventories
  • Overseeing wardrobe management and garment care
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising household staff
  • Communicating with the family office as required
  • Coordinating with contractors and external service providers
  • Managing household supplies and placing orders when necessary
  • Introducing systems to improve household organisation and efficiency
  • Assisting with pet care when needed

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience as a Senior or Head Housekeeper within a private household
  • Have previous experience working within a high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth environment
  • Hold a valid passport
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Provide excellent, contactable references
  • Be fluent in English
