Role: Live-in Housekeeper
Days: Circa 3.5 days per week
Hours: 28 hours per week (11:00am–7:00pm – flexibility required for occasional evenings/weekends)

Salary: £25,000–£30,000 gross per annum (DOE)

We are seeking a Live-in Housekeeper for a private family residence in Farnham, Surrey.
The household consists of two main occupiers and their adult (university-age) children. This is a hands-on role suited to a candidate who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully run home and ensuring consistently high standards across cleaning, organisation, laundry, and general household support.
You will be contracted to work 28 hours per week over 3.5 days, ordinarily working between 11:00am and 7:00pm. Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend work will be required, and overtime will be paid for any additional hours worked.
You will be responsible for overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the household, maintaining interiors to an excellent standard, managing supplies, assisting with errands, and providing occasional pet care. The role also includes a regular monthly clean of a second London property.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar live-in private household role, demonstrate excellent initiative, and be capable of working independently without micromanagement. A clean driving licence and use of your own vehicle are essential.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Daily cleaning and scheduled deep cleaning
- Care of furnishings, surfaces, appliances, and high-end finishes
- Manage all laundry requirements, including washing, ironing, steaming, stain care, and wardrobe organisation
- Oversee seasonal household tasks such as wardrobe changeovers and linen rotation
- Conduct a monthly clean of a second London property
- Support meal planning and undertake occasional simple meal preparation
- Manage household supplies, including pantry items, groceries, and cleaning products
- Run local errands, including dry cleaning, pharmacy visits, shopping, and parcel collection
- Manage deliveries and liaise with tradespeople/service providers when required
- Maintain household organisation systems and proactively address maintenance issues
- Provide pet care, including dog walking, feeding, and occasional short-term pet sitting
- Assist with occasional hosting support, including table setting and light service
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be eligible to work in the UK
- Have 3–5+ years’ experience working as a Housekeeper within a private household setting
- Have excellent, contactable references
- Be fluent in English
- Have (or be willing to obtain) an up-to-date DBS certificate
- Hold a clean, valid driving licence and have use of your own vehicle
