Role: 24/5 Live in Nanny/Housekeeper

Care for: B3 months & B3

Days: 5 days per week with 2 consecutive days off

We are a recruiting for a 24/5 live in Nanny/Housekeeper to look after a baby boy aged 3 months. You will be responsible for the care of the baby though you will work alongside another nanny who primarily takes care of the three year old.

We are looking for a candidate who is warm and nurturing, but also professional and discreet and can work well in both a sole charge and shared care capacity; as well as working alongside other household staff. Your duties will include all nanny and nursery responsibilities such as managing the baby’s schedule, sterilising bottles, weaning, preparing healthy simple meals and snacks, playing, bath time and bedtime etc.

You will share an ensuite bedroom with the baby and will be required to ensure the nursery and bathroom is always cleaned and well maintained. Whilst the property is fully staffed, you will be required to help with general housekeeping when other members of staff are off. Flexibility is an important part of this role as whilst you will have two consecutive days off during the week, they may not necessarily be over the weekend. You will however have one full weekend off a month. You will also be provided with a one bedroom apartment as accommodation for your time off.

The family often travel and would like their nanny to accompany the family on trips both domestically and internationally.

The salary offered will be within the range of £500 – £600 net per week, and the exact salary offered will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills and qualifications. The position would suit a reliable, detail orientated and energetic Nanny/Housekeeper who is looking for a long-term position.

  • All care pertaining to the baby with predominantly sole charge
  • All nursery duties
  • Sleep training
  • Bath and bedtime routines and managing daily schedules
  • Tidying away all toys and games
  • Create stimulating and engaging activities for the child
  • Attending pre-arranged outings and activities
  • Keeping the children’s bedrooms clean, tidy and ensuring they have clean clothes as required etc
  • Weaning
  • Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks
  • Tidying up after mealtimes
  • General housekeeping duties; vacuuming, tidying, dusting, laundry and ironing
  • Travel abroad with the family
  • Packing and unpacking of suitcases
  • Managing the child’s wardrobe
  • Shopping for groceries and household items as required

To be considered for this role you must;

  • Be eligible to work within the UK
  • Have a valid passport
  • Have 5+ years of experience working within a private household as a 24/5 Nanny/Housekeeper
  • Have excellent contactable references
  • Possess (/be willing to get) an up to date DBS check
