Role: Live-in Domestic Couple
Days: 5 days per week (approx. 45 hours, flexibility required)

Salary: £80,000–£90,000 combined

Accommodation: Renovated 1-bedroom cottage
An exceptional opportunity for an experienced, proactive and hands-on Domestic Couple to take sole charge of a substantial private family estate
This is a long-term role suited to a professional, detail-driven couple who take pride in maintaining a home and grounds to the highest standards, working with discretion and minimal supervision.
The estate comprises a 6-bedroom main house, additional cottages, extensive gardens and farmland, outbuildings, swimming pool, stables and family dogs. Occasional limited travel to Europe is required (Housekeeper travels; Groundsman remains on site). The household is a non-smoking environment.
Housekeeper Responsibilities
• Full housekeeping of all properties to an exceptional standard
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
• Family cooking (breakfast/lunch/dinner support) and light entertaining
• Table service and guest hosting
• Provisioning, stock control and household inventory
• Care of fine furnishings, art and specialist finishes
• Household administration, contractor liaison and systems management
• Managing deliveries, errands and general organisation
Groundsman / Maintenance Responsibilities
• Full maintenance of gardens, grounds and outdoor areas
• General repairs, DIY and estate upkeep
• Pool, machinery and plant room maintenance
• Driving, vehicle care and estate presentation
• Security checks, CCTV and gate systems
• Full care of family dogs
• Firewood, waste management and general estate duties
Candidate Requirements
• Proven experience in a similar sole-charge domestic couple role
• Hands-on, proactive and self-motivated with a “no task too small” approach
• High standards, attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Discreet, trustworthy and able to work independently
• Strong gardening, maintenance and housekeeping skillsets
• Full clean driving licences (preferred for both)
• Comfortable in a rural environment
