Position: Travelling Lady’s Maid / Butler

A returning Client Family are seeking an exceptional Travelling Lady’s Maid / Butler to support the Principal at her Primary London residence and during frequent UK and worldwide travel
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to someone who is highly professional, calm, flexible and adaptable. This role will be Live-out when London-based, with accommodation provided during travel periods. Live-in candidates may also be considered
The Primary residence is fully-staffed and the successful candidate will work closely with a small, trusted team including Housekeepers, Butlers and PA’s. At times you will travel alongside the Principal; on other occasions you will travel ahead to prepare hotels or residences in advance of her arrival. This role requires someone switched-on, practical and calm, who takes pride in seamless service and anticipatory support
Key responsibilities include expert wardrobe/clothing care, packing & unpacking to a high standard, handling luxury garments, preparing hotel rooms and residences, and ensuring everything is perfectly arranged prior to arrival. Travel support is a key element of the role, including airport assistance, luggage management and advance planning. You will also be able to liaise smoothly with the family office, providing support while understanding boundaries and escalation
You will assist with light PA-style duties such as booking restaurants, running errands, managing appointments, using apps confidently, gift wrapping and handling ad-hoc requests. Experience delivering light food and beverage service would also be advantageous.
Flexibility, discretion and a genuinely pleasant manner are essential. The client is looking for someone down-to-earth, professional and adaptable, who works well within a team while also being capable of operating independently
Candidate requirements:
• Eligible to work in the UK, and travel internationally
• Have a valid DBS check or be willing to obtain one
• Have excellent contactable references
• Have 3-5+ years’ experience working as a Housekeeper – Butler – Ladies Maid – Valet within a private household, or a Yacht Chief Stewardess
