COMPANION/HOUSEHOLD ASSISTANT – ANTWERP, BELGIUM - €45,000–€55,000 GPA (DOE)

We are seeking a warm, calm and reliable Companion / Household Assistant to support a private family
based in the Harmonie district of Antwerp, Belgium.
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting a young adult with additional needs, while also providing
general household assistance during periods when the principals are travelling. The family’s daughter is
an independent and sociable young adult who communicates well and enjoys spending time with others.
She is active, enjoys a structured routine and benefits from a calm, patient and encouraging approach.
When the principals are traveling you will be required to stay over at the property, you will be provided
with your own bedroom and bathroom. The role requires flexibility and, in return, offers a competitive

companionship and practical support, allowing the household to run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities;
· Collect the family’s daughter from school as required.
· Prepare healthy evening meals.
· Support her with her evening routine, including bathing and getting ready for bed.
· Spend quality time together through conversation, games and activities she enjoys.
· Encourage independence while providing reassurance and support.
· Maintain a calm, structured and positive environment.
· Assist with the smooth running of the household.
· Carry out grocery shopping and light household errands.
· Liaise with contractors or deliveries where necessary.
· Help ensure the home remains organised and well maintained.
· Care for the family’s small poodle during periods when the principal is travelling.
· Walking, feeding and general day-to-day care.
· Occasional overnight stays at the family home, or the ability to care for the dog from your own
home, would be advantageous.
To be considered for this role you must;
· Have experience supporting individuals with additional needs professionally
· Hold the rights to work in Belgium
· Be fluent in English
· Hold a full clean driving license and be a confident driver
· Have excellent contactable references
