This is a standalone senior role within a small, friendly and hardworking team, reporting directly to a Director. The position combines hands-on accounts management with cash flow forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting. The working environment is professional and high-standard, while remaining relaxed and unstuffy.

Key Responsibilities

·       Manage the day-to-day accounts function across the development and private sides of the business.

·       Process invoices, payments, receipts, supplier accounts and employee expenses.

·       Maintain accurate financial records and complete account reconciliations.

·       Manage accounts inboxes and respond to financial queries.

·       Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts, budgets and management reports.

·       Provide financial analysis and forward-looking insight to the Directors.

·       Liaise with external accountants and assist with year-end accounts.

·       Manage CIS payments and support VAT and wider accounting requirements.

·       Maintain accurate records using Xero and relevant project/construction management software.

Candidate Requirements

·       Minimum 5 years' experience within an accounts or finance role.

·       Strong bookkeeping and hands-on accounts management experience.

·       Confident working autonomously and taking ownership of a standalone finance function.

·       Strong cash flow forecasting, budgeting and reporting skills.

·       Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational ability.

·       Strong Excel skills; Xero experience advantageous.

·       Knowledge of CIS payments and construction VAT highly desirable.

·       Experience within property development, construction, architecture, design or a similar project-led environment advantageous but not essential.

·       Proactive, personable and an excellent communicator with a discreet approach.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and commercially minded Accounts Manager to become a trusted part of a growing business and support both its commercial development and private financial interests.
