A discreet private household in West London is looking for an accomplished Housekeeper to join an established domestic team.
This is a long-term position for someone who is naturally organised, takes genuine pride in presentation and enjoys taking ownership of the day-to-day upkeep of a high-standard home.
The position is primarily Monday to Friday and can suit either a live-in or live-out candidate. Private bedroom and bathroom accommodation can be provided for the successful live-in applicant. The household travels regularly during school holiday periods, so the role offers quieter periods while the family is away; occasional assistance with household pets may be required during these times.
Working hours are full-timeand differ slightly depending on whether the candidate lives in or out.
The role requires someoneflexible, dependable and comfortable working as part of a professional,respectful household. There is no requirement to travel with the family.
Salary is £50,000–£60,000gross per annum, dependent on experience, previous longevity and overall skillset. Interviews are taking place now, start date flexible.
Key responsibilities
· Maintaining all areas of the home to an excellent standard, including routine and detailed cleaning
· Managing laundry, ironing and the careful handling of quality clothing and household linens
· Bed making, linen changes and general bedroom presentation
· Keeping wardrobes and storage areas organised and well maintained
· Monitoring household products, receiving deliveries and replenishing supplies
· Running local household errands and completing grocery shopping as required
· Preparing straight forward breakfasts when needed
· Helping with packing, unpacking and preparation ahead of family travel
· Providing light support with household pets when required
· Assisting with guest-facing and front-of-house tasks on occasion
Candidate profile
· At least 5 years’ professional housekeeping experience within private households
· A strong eye for detail and confidence maintaining a well-presented home
· Discreet,reliable and professional, with a positive and flexible approach
· Fluent English and the right to work in the UK
· Acurrent DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one
· Excellent,verifiable references
· Comfortable around household pets
