A fully staffed UHNW household in Englefield Green is seeking an experienced, hands-on Housekeeper to join their established household team.
Working alongside a small household Team, the role will focus primarily on maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards throughout the residence. Duties will include detailed daily cleaning, laundry and ironing, wardrobe and clothing care, bed and linen changes, packing and unpacking, organisation and care of fine furnishings and finishes.
The successful candidate will also assist the Butler and Head Housekeeper with food and beverage service when required, including table setting, serving and clearing, refreshments and general front-of-house support. Previous service experience would therefore be highly beneficial, although this is first and foremost a housekeeping position where service training can be provided.
The schedule is five days per week on a rota, including at least one weekend day. Hours will vary according to household requirements, with some early starts from 6.30am and occasional later finishes.
There are four dogs within the household, so candidates should be comfortable assisting with some pet care. A driving licence would be beneficial for occasional errands but is not essential. The role would suit an experienced and detail-focused Housekeeper who enjoys working collaboratively within a structured private household. Flexibility, discretion, reliability and a positive, team-oriented approach are essential.
For live-in candidates, accommodation is provided in a private cottage with their own bedroom and bathroom. The cottage will be for their sole use for the majority of the year, although a second bedroom may occasionally be used to accommodate visiting staff for short periods.
Candidates should have 3–5+ years’ private household experience, UK right to work, a valid DBS or willingness to obtain one, and excellent contactable references.
