Salary and Benefits
£40,000+ per annum (DOE). Permanent PAYE contract with full benefits.
Location and Schedule
Kensington, London. 4-5 days per week, typically 8am–6pm, including weekends. Permanent role. Start ASAP.
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled, reliable and flexible Houseman to support a busy British household. This hands-on role involves maintenance of interiors and exteriors, garden upkeep, pet care, and light handyman duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Support garden upkeep under Senior Gardener guidance: seasonal planting, hedge trimming, deadheading, leaf blowing, jet washing, bin area maintenance.
- Provide pet care support under Senior Pet Carer guidance (approx. two days/week): feeding, grooming, dog-walking, cleaning pet areas.
- Carry out light maintenance and handyman tasks: cleaning ironwork, perimeter walls, clearing drains, assisting contractors, maintaining plant rooms, garages, storage areas.
- Manage household inventories including lightbulbs and supplies.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks: furniture assembly, equipment setup, supporting team members, running errands.
Requirements
- Experience in property and/or garden maintenance with handyman skills.
- Comfortable handling and walking multiple dogs and animals.
- Good communication and written skills.
- Valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent contactable references.
