A travelling ladies maid and butler required to support a principal in London and during extensive international travel.
A returning client family is seeking an exceptional Travelling Lady’s Maid / Butler to support the Principal at her primary London residence and during frequent worldwide travel
This is a hands-on, intuitive role suited to someone highly professional, calm, flexible and adaptable. The role can be live-out when London-based, with the option of nearby accommodation for those candidates seeking a live-in arrangement
The primary residences are staffed, and the successful candidate will work closely with a small, trusted team including Housekeepers and PAs. At times you will travel alongside the Principal; on other occasions, you will travel ahead to prepare hotels or residences in advance of her arrival. This role requires someone switched- on, practical and composed, who takes pride in seamless service and anticipatory support
Key responsibilities include wardrobe and clothing care, packing and unpacking to a high standard, handling luxury garments, preparing hotel rooms and residences, and ensuring everything is perfectly arranged prior to arrival. Travel support is a key element of the role, including airport assistance, luggage management and advance planning. You will liaise confidently with the family office, providing support while understanding boundaries and escalation
You will also provide Butler service as required, including light F&B service, supporting guest and family visits, and arranging room amenities. Assisting with light PA-style duties such as booking restaurants, running errands, managing appointments, using apps confidently, gift wrapping and handling ad hoc requests will also be required
Flexibility, discretion and a genuinely pleasant manner are essential. The client is seeking someone down-to- earth, professional and adaptable, who works well within a team while also being confident operating independently
Candidate requirements:
• Eligible to work in the UK, and travel internationally • Have a valid DBS check or be willing to obtain one • Have excellent contactable references • Have 3-5+ years’ experience working as a Housekeeper – Butler - Ladies Maid – or Valet within a private household, or a Yacht Stewardess
