An experienced House Manager/Groundsman & Housekeeper Couple is sought for a beautifully renovated private property set within 2 hectares outside Saint-Tropez, France
The couple will be responsible for the day-to-day care and upkeep of the property, including housekeeping, general maintenance, handyman duties, oversight of the grounds and irrigation system, contractor liaison, and care of household and vintage vehicles. A professional gardener and pool maintenance company are already contracted, although some experience and understanding of gardens, grounds and pools would be beneficial
The family are mainly in-residence during July and August, when an additional housekeeper may be employed to provide extra support. However, Family or Guests may also stay during the rest of the year, requiring ‘arrival readiness’ at all times
Candidates should be experienced, hands-on, discreet and proactive, with basic French and a driving licence essential due to the rural location. This is a brand-new role working within a newly renovated property for a welcoming family. Accommodation provided is a self-contained, furnished one-bedroom property (unfortunately, pets cannot be accommodated)
House Manager / Groundsman
· Overall day-to-day oversight of the property
· Regular property checks and general security awareness
· General handyman duties, minor repairs and maintenance
· Overseeing the 2 hectares of grounds and irrigation system
· Liaising with the contracted gardener and pool maintenance company
· Coordinating and overseeing external contractors and tradespeople
· General oversight of the swimming pool and outdoor areas
· Care and upkeep of household vehicles, including vintage vehicles
· Preparing the property ahead of the family’s arrival
· Ensuring the property is well maintained when the family are away
Housekeeper
· General housekeeping and cleaning to a high standard
· Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
· Care of furnishings and household items
· Keeping the property organised, tidy and beautifully presented
· Preparing bedrooms and living areas for the family’s arrival
· Maintaining the interior of the property while the family are away
To be considered for this role you must:
· Hold the rights to work in France
· Speak fluent English, and minimum basic French
· Have excellent contactable references / Have (/ be willing to obtain) a background check
