A warm, welcoming and down-to-earth family in Notting Hill is seeking an exceptional live-in
Manny/Mentor to support their ten-year-old son. Their current nanny has been with them for seven
years and has been a hugely valued member of the household. As their son has grown older, the role has
naturally evolved, and they are now looking for someone with a slightly different skill set to guide and
support him through the next stage of his development. The family are fantastic employers who truly
value the people who work with them and hope to find someone looking for a long-term position.
The family are looking for an engaging, energetic and highly educated Manny/Mentor who will become a
positive role model, helping to build confidence, independence and resilience. The ideal candidate will
have experience supporting with homework and, ideally, the 11+ and/or 13+ process.
Equally important is personality. They are looking for someone who naturally connects with older
children and teenagers; someone their son genuinely enjoys spending time with and who can build the
sort of relationship where he and his friends are happy to have them around. A sporty, active person with
a good sense of humour, plenty of energy and a genuine enthusiasm for mentoring young people would
be ideal.
The role includes school runs, homework support, driving to activities, preparing simple healthy meals,
organising exciting and enriching experiences, and travelling with the family for approximately four to
five weeks each year. The family would love someone who has their finger on the pulse of what London
has to offer for children and teenagers, from sporting activities and immersive experiences to exhibitions,
events and new opportunities.
They are looking for someone who is adaptable, proactive and enjoys working collaboratively within a
fully staffed household.
Candidate Requirements
• Degree educated or a qualified primary or secondary school teacher.
• Experience supporting children through the 11+ and/or 13+ process is preferred.
• Confident driver.
• Fluent English (French-speaking highly advantageous).
• Sporty, active and enthusiastic.
• Flexible and willing to travel.
• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Excellent, checkable references & current enhanced DBS check.
Interviews will take place throughout the summer, with a September 2026 start anticipated. The family
would also consider arranging a paid trial over the summer for an exceptional candidate.
