A private household in Kensington is seeking an experienced, professional and highly organised Live-In

Nanny / Housekeeper to support a busy home with a 1-year-old child.

This is a varied all-rounder role combining hands-on housekeeping with childcare support and would suit

somebody confident balancing both responsibilities equally. The successful candidate should be calm,

proactive, flexible and confident providing sole charge care when required, whilst also maintaining high

household standards.

The role involves daily childcare support including morning routines, preparing age-appropriate meals and

snacks for the child, maintaining routines and activities, babysitting and occasional overnight sole charge

when the Principal is travelling or away from the residence. Overnight sole charge is expected approximately

one week per month, alongside regular evening babysitting as required.

Alongside childcare responsibilities, the successful candidate will manage the day-to-day housekeeping of a

split-level apartment, including detailed cleaning, laundry and ironing, household organisation, bed making,

linen changes, errands and ensuring the home remains clean, tidy and well organised.

The family travel occasionally, so candidates should be flexible and willing to travel internationally when

required.

Due to the nature of the role, a degree of flexibility is required around working schedules, with start and

finish times guided by the child’s routine and the Family’s schedule requirements. Whilst the role can be

offered on a 5-day-per-week basis, the client’s preference would ideally be for candidates open to working a

6th day when the Family are in residence, with an appropriate salary uplift offered accordingly.

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a private household in a similar role

• Confident caring for a young child and providing sole charge care when required

• Fluent English required; French-speaking ability would be beneficial but not essential

• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally at short notice

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

• First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain

• Full legal right to work in the UK

• Driving licence beneficial but not essential
