Live-Out Housekeeper (With Travel) - Chelsea
Salary and Hours
£50,000 - £60,000 GPA (DOE). 5 days per week, 45 hours total (typically 11:00am–8:00pm or 12:00pm–9:00pm). Weekend work required when Principals are in residence.
Location and Contract
Chelsea, London. Permanent contract. Flexible start date.
Role and Duties
Join a small, friendly team in a fully staffed, semi-formal private household supporting two Principals (no children). Duties include:
- Maintaining property to exceptional standards
- Laundry and ironing, including fine garments
- Bedding changes
- Upkeep of furniture and delicate surfaces
- Wardrobe management
- Silver polishing
- Packing and unpacking for travel
Travel
International travel 3–6 times per year, mainly to the US, plus additional travel within the US and Europe for several weeks. Accommodation provided when travelling.
Requirements
- Dog-friendly
- Well-presented, discreet, and professional
- Excellent communication skills
- 3-5+ years’ private household housekeeping experience
- Excellent longevity in previous roles (5+ years preferred)
- Valid UK work eligibility and passport
- Valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
- Excellent contactable references
- Ability to cook simple meals advantageous but not essential
