Part-Time Live-In Housekeeper – Farnham, Surrey
Salary and Hours
£25,000–£30,000 gross per annum (DOE). Approximately 28 hours per week over 3.5 days, typically 11:00am–7:00pm with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends. Overtime paid.
Accommodation
Self-contained, modern furnished apartment with utilities included.
Location
Farnham, Surrey, with monthly travel to a London property.
Contract and Start Date
Permanent contract. Start date flexible.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning and scheduled deep cleaning of the household.
- Care of furnishings, surfaces, appliances, and high-end finishes.
- Manage laundry including washing, ironing, steaming, stain care, and wardrobe organisation.
- Seasonal household tasks such as wardrobe changeovers and linen rotation.
- Monthly clean of a second London property.
- Support meal planning and occasional simple meal preparation.
- Manage household supplies including pantry, groceries, and cleaning products.
- Run local errands such as dry cleaning, pharmacy visits, shopping, and parcel collection.
- Manage deliveries and liaise with tradespeople/service providers.
- Maintain household organisation systems and proactively address maintenance issues.
- Provide pet care including dog walking, feeding, and occasional short-term pet sitting.
- Assist with occasional hosting support including table setting and light service.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- 3–5+ years’ experience as a housekeeper in a private household.
- Excellent, contactable references.
- Fluent in English.
- Up-to-date DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Clean, valid driving licence and use of own vehicle.
