A warm and welcoming family based in Holland Park are seeking an experienced Private Family Chef to join
their household on a long-term basis.
The role will commence on a part-time basis, working approximately 2-3 days per week (currently Monday,
Tuesday and one weekend day), with the intention of transitioning into a full-time permanent position in the
Autumn following a successful settling-in period.
The family enjoy a wide variety of cuisines, particularly Indian, Japanese, Chinese and Thai food, with a strong
focus on healthy, fresh and nutritious ingredients. Meals should be flavourful and family-focused, with an
emphasis on balanced nutrition and high-protein cooking to support an active household. Whilst day-to-day
cooking will be relaxed and family-style, the Chef should also be capable of producing elevated dishes for
occasional entertaining.
The household includes two children aged 11 and 13, and the family are seeking a Chef who is creative,
proactive and genuinely passionate about food. The successful candidate will enjoy introducing new ideas,
planning varied menus and learning the family’s preferences over time, becoming increasingly autonomous
within the role.
This is a dynamic household with busier and quieter periods throughout the year, so flexibility and
adaptability are important.
Responsibilities:
• Preparing nutritious daily meals for the family, predominantly dinners
• Creating varied menus with strong Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai and international influences
• Managing food shopping, ingredient sourcing and kitchen organisation
• Catering for occasional guests and informal entertaining
• Maintaining exceptional kitchen hygiene and presentation standards
Requirements:
• Previous Private Chef or comparable luxury hospitality experience
• Strong knowledge of Indian, Asian and internationally influenced cuisines
• Passion for healthy, family-style cooking and nutrition
• Proactive, organised and capable of working independently
• Excellent references and the legal right to work in the UK
