We are looking foran energetic, engaging and highly organised Manny/PA to join a busyprivate family, working alongside their existing Nanny-Governess and supportingtwo boys aged 12 and 16.
The younger boy, aged 12, will be the main focus of the childcare side of the role. The familywould love to find a positive male influence who can build a genuine rapportwith him and is really happy to get involved. He enjoys rugby, football, cricket, swimming, fitness and being outdoors, so someone naturally sporty whowould participate rather than simply organise activities would be a great fit. There is also an educational element, including keeping on top of prep, tutoring, tests, school communications and upcoming deadlines.
His 16-year-oldbrother attends boarding school and is naturally more independent. The Mannyshould respect his space whilst maintaining an appropriate level of oversightaround his education, A-level commitments, tutoring and general organisation.
When the boys areat school or boarding, the position shifts towards PA and familyadministration. This will include diaries and appointments, travel and holidayplanning, school and tutor administration, research, bookings, orders andreturns, household coordination and liaising with other members of the familyteam.
The family islooking for somebody warm, fun and personable, but equally proactive andswitched on. You should be confident around teenagers, educationally focusedand naturally able to think ahead. A hands-on attitude is important, includingbeing happy to prepare simple, healthy meals and muck in where needed.
Previous Manny/PA,private household, teaching, tutoring, sports coaching or boarding-schoolexperience would all be relevant. Experience with dyslexia and dyspraxia wouldbe advantageous, and a full clean driving licence is preferable.
The usual rota is oneweek on / one week off, 24/7 whilst on duty, including school holidays and bankholidays. During the main summer period, the rota may move to longer blocks oftwo or three weeks at a time.
Most importantly, the family is looking for someone who can build a great relationship with bothboys, work collaboratively with the existing Nanny-Governess and become atrusted, long-term part of the family team.
