We are assisting a warm and welcoming private family in the search for two exceptional
and highly experienced Rota Maternity Nurses to support first-time parents following
the arrival of their newborn twins, due November 2026.
This is a three-month placement based in Miami, Florida, where the twins are expected
to be born. Working on a rota basis, the successful candidates will provide seamless,
round-the-clock newborn care, ensuring continuity, consistency, and the highest
standards of support during this important transition into parenthood.
The family are kind, down-to-earth, and highly value professionalism, discretion, and
collaboration. They have created a warm and respectful working environment with a
small, close-knit household team and are seeking two maternity nurses who will
integrate naturally into the home with a flexible, positive, and hands-on approach.
The successful candidates will be responsible for implementing and maintaining
structured feeding and sleeping routines, supporting both babies throughout the
newborn stage, monitoring their development, and providing calm, knowledgeable
guidance to the parents during the fourth trimester.
The family will be formula feeding, and candidates should be con;ident in all aspects of
bottle preparation, sterilisation, feeding schedules, and establishing effective routines
for newborn twins.
A key aspect of the role will involve supporting the family in preparing for the twins'
arrival, including assisting with the nursery set-up, advising on essential newborn
equipment and products, and helping the parents navigate the practical requirements of
welcoming twins into the home. The maternity nurses will act as trusted advisors,
offering guidance on everything from feeding equipment, sleep arrangements, nursery
organisation, and safety essentials to clothing, travel equipment, and other twin-speci;ic
necessities, ensuring the family feel fully prepared and supported from the outset.
Working closely together, the rota nurses will ensure smooth handovers, maintain
detailed daily records, and provide a consistent approach to the babies' routines and
care. The family are looking for professionals who can combine expert newborn
knowledge with warmth, discretion, and excellent communication skills.
This is a temporary position designed to support the family during the immediate
newborn period. At the conclusion of the contract, the successful candidates will assist
with a smooth transition of care to the family's full-time nanny team, ensuring
continuity and consistency for both children and parents.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional round-the-clock care for newborn twins.
• Establish and maintain healthy feeding and sleeping routines.
• Prepare bottles, sterilise feeding equipment, and manage feeding schedules for
both babies.
• Monitor feeding patterns, sleep schedules, developmental milestones, wellbeing,
and daily progress.
• Maintain detailed records relating to feeding, sleep, routines, and general
observations.
• Provide practical guidance, reassurance, and education to ;irst-time parents.
• Assist with nursery preparation, organisation, and ongoing nursery
management.
• Advise on essential newborn and twin-related equipment, products, and
supplies.
• Offer recommendations regarding nursery safety, sleeping arrangements, feeding
equipment, travel essentials, and newborn necessities.
• Manage all nursery-related duties during working hours.
• Work collaboratively with the household team to ensure seamless
communication and support.
• Provide comprehensive handovers between rota partners to maintain
consistency in care.
• Support the transition of care to the family's long-term nanny team at the end of
the placement.
Candidate Requirements
• Extensive maternity nurse experience within private households.
• Proven experience caring for newborns from birth.
• Previous experience caring for newborn twins is highly desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of infant development, feeding routines, sleep conditioning,
and newborn care.
• Current Paediatric First Aid certi;ication.
• Excellent checkable references.
• Professional, discreet, and highly organised.
• Calm, reassuring, and con;ident when supporting ;irst-time parents.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English.
