Senior Housekeeper
Overview
An excellent live-out Senior Housekeeper is required for a full-time position within a fully-staffed VIP household in Kensington, London. Reporting to the House Manager, you will work 40 hours per week over 5 days, with flexibility for weekend rota shifts. Travel is required.
Salary and Contract
- Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 gross per annum (DOE) plus discretionary bonuses and travel bonuses
- Contract: Permanent
- Start Date: ASAP
Location and Hours
- Location: Kensington, London
- Days: 5 days per week
- Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
- Flexibility for weekend work on a rota basis
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional housekeeping service to the family and guests
- Maintain wardrobe and organise drawers and closets
- Manage day-to-day items and high-end shoe collection
- Liaise with Principals to ensure wardrobe and household needs are met
- Maintain stock control and rotation of household bathroom and storage areas
- Assist with laundry duties when laundress is off duty (washing, pressing, sorting, spot cleaning, dry cleaning)
- Prepare for travel including packing and unpacking
- Perform ad hoc duties as required with flexibility and a high level of amenability
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Fluent in English
- Valid DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Excellent contactable references
- 3-5+ years’ experience as a Housekeeper in a private household
- UK or EU passport holder (due to travel requirements)
